Don't Pack Away Christmas with the Tree

I know today is the Epiphany of the Lord which marks the arrival of the kings or wise men to adore Christ. It is also 'the end' of the Christmas season ( Fred will correct me and say technically the baptism of the Lord is the end but you get my meaning). We all kind of know that its about time when the tree branches start to turn brown, and the parties come to an end, and the need to get back to work and school is there, and the weather tells us to buck up.

So we put away the decorations and the ornaments and the wreaths and we take down lights and other symbols of the season as we prepare for the cold long days ahead. But REMEMBER Christmas isn't a decoration,or a wreath,or a package, or a day - and if you're anything like me you probably need Christmas the whole year through. So this year don't pack away Christmas in the boxes, keep it in your heart. And every once in a while when you're a little blue or just plain 'ole reflective, take it out and look it over and remember the love. Christmas isn't in the boxes, Christmas is in you- if only you'll let him be!

And they heard him exclaim ere he drove out of sight-
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
